‘Before The Morning Comes’ is the latest offering from Swedish producer and artist sir Was. It’s filled with his trademark idiosyncratic sound: letting beats be interrupted by moments of silence and layering disco-esque guitar lines with reverb-soaked tuned percussion. At the heart of the track is a folky, heartfelt melody supported by simple chords and wandering piano. “This is a song about waiting, hoping, and longing for change,” he explains. “Some of these nights are just too long and we gotta get somewhere before the morning comes.” You can check out the track on the FIFA 22 soundtrack, and on his upcoming album, Let The Morning Come, which drops on October 15^th, 2021. -Dan Peeke
